My system is: HD 4550 connected to Benq E2400HD via DVI and to Denon AVR-1909 via HDMI. I've been playing around with my system and 9.1 catalyst for few hours now, and there really are some "not-so-nice" features, that atleast I'm experiencing. If anyone has any ideas what we can do to cure this problem we would be very grateful. Our TV tuner is a Compro VideoMate E700 Dual DVB-T PCI-E. We are running Vista Home Premium and using Media Centre for recording and playback. When this happens it needs a reboot to get a display. If the TV is not on with its input set to the gaphics card, then the card fails to detect any monitor. It seems that the graphics card is doing an auto detect of the attached monitor (the Panasonic TH-37PX70 in this case). However we now have the problem that unless our Panasonic TH-37PX70 is switched to the HDMI channel on the PC, the PC starts, but we are unable to view anything on the PC, without rebooting and starting again with the TV switched to the HDMI channel. We have recently installed a new ATI Radeon HD4550 graphics card onto our Asus P5E-VM HDMI Intel G35 Micro-ATX (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard, as the onboard graphics couldn't really perform well enough, and were disabled when the new graphics card was fitted.
